At our practice, we are proud to have therapists with strong backgrounds in working with youth. With experience from the children’s helpline, crisis service, and teaching, these therapists bring a wealth of knowledge and a deep understanding of childhood and adolescent development. Their expertise also allows them to create a safe environment to connect with youth effectively and equips them with unique insights and skills to support young clients and their families. 

Our holistic approach addresses the holistic needs of young people, including their emotional, psychological, social, and academic well-being. Mind-body interventions can be highly effective for children and adolescents. CBT helps young clients identify and change negative thought and behaviour patterns, while DBT teaches emotional regulation and interpersonal skills. Mindfulness and self-compassion practices promote self-awareness and kindness towards oneself, reducing stress and negative emotions. EMDR helps process traumatic memories, making them less distressing, and IFS fosters understanding and integration of different parts of the self. We also consider the child’s entire environment and so collaborate with families to ensure well-rounded support for youth.. By addressing these areas comprehensively, we promote the overall growth and health of our young clients.
