Registered Social Worker, Psychotherapist

I have found there is joy and healing in connection. I am a second generation Canadian which brings about its own blessings and challenges. I have experienced loss and rapid unexpected life changes. While clinically trained in managing these shifts, living the experience is something different. This experience and perspective are what contributes to and shapes my practice.

I am a Registered Social Worker and psychotherapist with over 20 years of experience supporting adults in both hospital and community settings. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working with people from many different backgrounds and with a wide range of life experiences. I bring a calm, compassionate, and trauma-informed presence to my work and strive to create a space where you feel heard, respected, and safe to be yourself.

I work with adults experiencing anxiety, grief, trauma, stress, life transitions, relationship difficulties, and challenges with self-esteem. I have particular experience supporting newcomers and people from diverse and multicultural backgrounds, as well as healthcare professionals navigating the unique pressures that can come with caring for others. I also have experience supporting individuals who have experienced physical and sexual abuse.

I believe that the therapeutic relationship is at the heart of meaningful change. I see you as the expert in your own life, and I work collaboratively with you to understand your experiences, recognize your strengths, and identify what you would like to change. I don’t believe that therapy is a one-size-fits-all process, so I tailor my approach to your individual needs, goals, and pace.

My therapeutic approach draws from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), EMDR, and somatic and polyvagal-informed approaches. My trauma work is grounded in creating safety and stability and helping you develop the tools and resources you need before moving toward deeper processing and healing.

I have a quiet and calm presence and aim to create a therapeutic environment that feels both supportive and genuine. I believe there is room for both meaningful and sometimes difficult conversations, as well as moments of lightness and humour when appropriate. My goal is to help you develop a deeper understanding of yourself, build on your strengths, and move toward a life that feels more balanced, meaningful, and aligned with what matters to you.

When I’m not working, you will often find me sewing, working on a pottery wheel, or baking. I enjoy the creativity and sense of calm that come from making things by hand. I also love spending time with my dogs, who have a way of bringing plenty of joy—and usually a little chaos—into everyday life. I value the importance of having interests and relationships outside of work and believe that these small sources of connection, creativity, and joy are an important part of our overall well-being.
